Who I am

Some of the most powerful art is invisible.

Tashmoo Olfactory grew from a lifelong attentiveness to the unseen. As a child, I was drawn to garden scents, lifting every flower or leaf to my nose, the air before a rainstorm. As a visual artist whose work has long explored invisibility and identity, I found in scent something that painting and image could never quite reach: a direct line to memory, place, and self.

Tashmoo is a small-batch natural fragrance studio where scent becomes a sense of place. Each perfume is crafted from pure essential oils carried in fractionated coconut oil, nothing unnecessary, and named for the native plants that give these scents their sense of place.

Each fragrance comes as a roll-on, small enough to carry with you always, tucked into its black velvet pouch. The formula is long-lasting and crafted to stay with you through the day, but the ritual of reapplication is there when you want it. A quiet transition from afternoon to evening, wherever you are. We encourage you to blend our scents together, mix and match them, from day to night.

Identity is a choice, much like a scent. It is something that stays with us.
